Alternators are specifically designed for use with Yanmar 6LY series diesel engines and are designed for use with external multi-stage voltage regulation. This allows the charging voltage to be adjusted to maximize safety and efficiency when recharging a variety of battery types.
With a 3.15-inch saddle mount, the 94LY alternator can replace the stock, internally regulated OEM alternator in Yanmar's 6LY engines and other engines with similar mount and belt configurations. Custom wound rotor/stator combinations optimize performance across the typical diesel power band. Isolated ground ensures safe continuity to system ground. The 94LY series alternators include series: 165-amp/12-volt; 210-amp/12-volt; and 140-amp/24-volt models.
