The Add-A-Battery Mini Relay (Blue Sea Systems Mini Add-A-Battery Kit) simplifies the retrofitting of a second battery bank in one step. The kit consists of a voltage-controlled isolation relay (m-ACR) and a Dual-Circuit-Plus battery switch, thus covering both switching and automatic charging current distribution.

Advantages

  • Includes m-Series Dual Circuit Plus Battery Switch and m-ACR Automatic Charging Relay as a coordinated set
  • Switches both battery banks simultaneously, but keeps them galvanically isolated
  • Can manually connect both banks in an emergency (weak starter battery)
  • ACR automatically connects the banks when charging and disconnects them when discharging – including optional start isolation for sensitive electronics
  • Easy operation: Turn on the battery switch when arriving, turn it off when leaving
  • Designed for alternators up to 65 A – ideal for outboard-powered boats

Who is the Add-A-Battery Mini Set for?

For anyone who wants to easily add a second battery bank to an existing on-board electrical system, without having to plan and wire switching and charging current distribution separately. Particularly suitable for smaller boats with outboard motors and alternators up to 65 A, where starter battery failure is to be avoided.
