The BHM 220 (2-pole) battery master switch from the Blue Sea Systems m-series switches two isolated circuits simultaneously – for example, two positive poles or the positive and negative conductors of one circuit. As a dual-circuit version without a combine function, it is one of the few Blue Sea switches that are also approved for simultaneous disconnection of positive and negative conductors, making it particularly interesting for boats with metal hulls.
Advantages
- 2-pole design: switches two electrically isolated circuits simultaneously via a single rotary knob
- Approved for simultaneous switching of positive and negative conductors (no combine function)
- Tin-plated copper studs for maximum conductivity and corrosion protection
- One-piece stud design that won't loosen even under vibration
- Insulating cover protects the rear contacts
Technical Data & Compatibility
- Switching function: Dual Circuit™ – switches two isolated battery circuits simultaneously, without combine function
- Continuous current: 300 A per circuit
- Peak current: 675 A / 30 sec. per circuit (Intermittent 5 min.: 450 A per circuit)
- Voltage: max. 32 V DC
- Mounting type: universal flush, surface or panel mount
- Connections: Studs for 3/8" (M10) ring terminals, cables up to 4/0 AWG (120 mm²)
Which boat is the BHM 220 suitable for?
The BHM 220 is particularly relevant for boats with metal hulls, where, for corrosion protection reasons, both the positive and negative poles should be disconnected from the onboard electrical system simultaneously. Since the two circuits remain completely electrically isolated and do not have a combine function, the BHM 220 is explicitly approved for this application.
The BHM 220 is also a suitable solution for off-road vehicles with two independent, strictly separate circuits.
