The P-Bus Main Switch Interface TSC from Philippi is an interface for controlling the external battery disconnector FBR 500 (500 A, 12 or 24 V) with adjustable undervoltage protection and overvoltage shutdown for on-board electrical systems in boats and vehicles.
- Increases the current carrying capacity of the main switch function to 500 A – ideal for high-current consumers such as bow thrusters
- All settings (undervoltage protection, overvoltage shutdown, battery voltage display) can be made centrally on the Philippi System Monitor PSM3/PSL
- Control via external control button or directly via the P-Bus – no additional wiring effort for measuring lines
The P-Bus Main Switch Interface TSC is part of Philippi's P-Bus remote-controlled battery main switches. It controls the external battery disconnector FBR 500 and thus enables convenient, safe remote switching of the main power supply – for example, for winches, anchor winches, or inverters in energy management. The adjustable undervoltage and overvoltage protection additionally protects the battery from deep discharge and overvoltage.
Since the continuous current load of the TSC alone is 260 A, for consumers above 260 A (e.g. bow thrusters), the combination with the FBR 500 is recommended, which increases the current carrying capacity to 500 A. For independent operation from the P-Bus and for emergency operation, Philippi additionally recommends an external control button. The PIN-protected operation prevents unauthorized switching, and each main switch can be assigned its own name for clear identification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the battery disconnector FBR 500 included?
No, the FBR 500 must be ordered separately. The TSC includes an M12-T-cable.
How is the TSC controlled?
Via an external control button or the P-Bus. All settings, such as for the undervoltage protection function and the overvoltage shutdown, can be adjusted on the System Monitor PSM3/PSL.
What on-board network voltage is the interface suitable for?
For 12 V and 24 V DC.
How can the current carrying capacity be increased to 500 A?
By combining the TSC with the battery disconnector FBR 500, the current carrying capacity can be increased from 260 A to 500 A – useful for high-current consumers such as bow thrusters.
