The BHM 300 Battery Disconnect Switch from the Blue Sea Systems m-series completely switches a single battery circuit on or off. It is suitable for outboard motors as well as smaller gasoline and diesel engines in boats and for off-road vehicles where a single circuit needs to be safely interrupted – for example, to completely disconnect the battery from the on-board electrical system during workshop maintenance, decommissioning, or in an emergency.
Advantages
- Simple ON/OFF switching of a battery circuit with a rotary knob
- Tin-plated copper studs for maximum conductivity and corrosion protection
- One-piece stud design that won't loosen even under vibration
- Insulating cover protects the rear contacts
- Breakout cable entries allow access from multiple directions
- Includes label set for identifying switch function
Technical Data & Compatibility
- Switch function: Single Circuit ON-OFF – a single battery circuit is switched on or off
- Continuous current: 300 A
- Peak current: 900 A / 30 sec. (Intermittent 5 min.: 500 A)
- Voltage: max. 48 V DC
- Mounting type: universal flush, surface, or panel mount
- Connections: Studs for 3/8" (M10) ring terminals, 22 mm stud length, cables up to 4/0 AWG (120 mm²)
Which electrical system is the BHM 300 suitable for?
The BHM 300 is the ideal solution for all electrical systems where a single battery circuit needs to be reliably disconnected – for example, in outboard motors, smaller diesel or gasoline engines on boats, or in off-road vehicles with a single service battery. With a continuous current of 300 A, it covers the common requirements of smaller to medium-sized engines and consumer circuits.
Thanks to its flexible mounting options, it can be placed directly in the engine compartment or in the switch panel.
