How accurate is the State of Charge display?
After a brief battery learning phase, the N2K SmartShunt automatically calibrates and typically achieves an accuracy of 97%. This precision is maintained throughout the battery's lifespan – a clear advantage over mere voltage displays.
Which version is right for me?
Both versions are structurally identical to the SG200 family (same sensors, same accuracy, same battery technology support), but differ in the display:
- SG230 – Complete package consisting of N2K SmartShunt, NMEA 2000 adapter cable, color display, communication cable, and Bluetooth® gateway. Useful if you want a standalone SmartLink display at the helm or instrument panel in addition to the chart plotter.
- SG235 – like SG230, but without a color display, instead only with a Bluetooth® gateway for app connectivity. The right choice if battery data is already displayed on the chart plotter via NMEA 2000 and you want to do without an additional display.
