For building individual navigation light monitoring systems with separate electronics and alarm
Functioning navigation lights in the dark are a fundamental safety requirement for every watercraft. The electronic navigation light monitoring system POS 6 simultaneously monitors up to six lights (port, starboard, stern, steaming, anchor, and tri-color lights) and detects the failure of the bulb or light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or a cable break. When the navigation lights are functioning, the assigned LEDs on the display indicate their operation. As soon as a light failure is reported by the electronics, the corresponding indicator light on the navigation light display flashes, and an additional audible signal sounds, which can be acknowledged via a button. The monitoring system is suitable for incandescent and LED navigation lights, even in mixed operation. Existing systems can be easily retrofitted with a POS 6 navigation light monitoring system at any time. If more than six lights need to be monitored, multiple POS 6 modules can be used in parallel. Custom navigation light displays can be created with the POS 6 navigation light monitoring module.
