To avoid galvanic currents between the hull and the shore power, a galvanic isolator can be used. Two anti-parallel diodes in the line produces a drop voltage enough to avoid galvanic currents.
The galvanic isolator is also suited for yachts with a GRP hull to avoid galvanic corrosion caused by the shore power connection to the propulsion.
