Position lamp monitoring module (POS 6)

For setting up individual position lamp monitoring systems with separate electronics with alarm.

Functioning position lamps in darkness are a basic safety requirement for every watercraft. The electronic position lamp monitor POS 6 simultaneously monitors up to six lanterns (Bb-, Stb-, stern-, steamer-, anchor- and tri-color lantern) and detects the failure of the bulb or the light emitting diodes (LED) or a cable interruption. When the position lanterns are functioning, the assigned LEDs on the display indicate the function. As soon as the failure of a lantern is signaled via the electronics, the corresponding control lamp flashes on the position lantern display and in addition an acoustic signal sounds, which can be acknowledged via a key. The monitoring system is suitable for incandescent lamps and LED position lamps, even in mixed operation. Existing installations can be easily retrofitted with a POS 6 position lamp monitoring system at any time. If more than six lanterns are to be monitored, several POS 6 modules can be used in parallel. Own position lamp displays can be used with the position lamp monitoring module POS 6.
