Alternator Regulator ARS-5

The ARS-5 alternator regulator provides precise voltage regulation for Balmar 12-volt high output alternators and externally regulated alternators with positive field connections. The ARS-5 has 5 charging programs for the following battery types: Deep-Cycle Flooded, Gel, AGM and Spiral-Wound (Optima) batteries. In addition, the controller has a universal standard program (UFP) that is suitable for most battery types.

In addition, the ARS-5 has a wealth of advanced programming modes that allow charging to be tailored to a variety of environments and battery types. When used in conjunction with the optional MC-TS-A and MCTS-B temperature sensors, the ARS-5 has the ability to monitor and respond to battery and alternator temperature, from reducing charging voltage to interrupting charging should an extraordinary overtemperature occur on the alternator or batteries.
