Connection units

Shore power connections are installed on-board to ensure a safe and problem- free power supply in accordance with GL - Germanischer Lloyd safety regulations and the European Standards EN ISO 13297 for AC power supply. An automatic RCBO-leakage protector in combination with a circuit breaker switch, which interrupte the power by means of a 30 mA two-pole cut-off in case of electrical fault, overloading and short circuit. When mounting a shore power connection unit more than three meters far from the source, a double pole circuit breaker switch is necessary near the shore power connection on board to protect against electrical accidents. Shore power connectors have to be completely watertight protected according to the IP 55 outside for rain protection or IP 56 to protect against over and under flow. Cables for AC 230 V installation such as DC12V/24V have to be carried in separate channels.
